What is truly meant by Christian Supremacy?

You may well ask:

A quick google search will reveal 765,000 articles related.
Many religious folks aren't willing to discuss such a reactionary idea
or have never thought deeply about it.   Why should they?  They are the majority,
or at least enjoy the illusion of such.

And here's a quote from one such supremacist:
"Our job is to reclaim America for Christ, whatever the cost. As the vice regents of God, we are to exercise godly dominion and influence over our neighborhoods, our schools, our government, our literature and arts, our sports arenas, our entertainment media, our news media, our scientific endeavors -- in short, over every aspect and institution of human society."  - D. James Kennedy

Supremacy of one religion over others is just
what I imagine  the framers of our US Constitution tried to prevent, by writing into our 1st amendment.
Perhaps they did not get explicit enough, but that's just my own opinion as a 3rd gen Jewish
refugee from Lithuania, where my relatives were slaughtered in 1943.

But let's face it, the USA is all about divisive and prejudiced movements in 2011.
Polarization has reach highs not seen since the 1950's when McCarthy spewed his nasty
accusations across this once great country.  You have such paragons of religious tolerance
as Beck, Palin, Limbaugh, Dobson, D James Kennedy,  and C. Peter Wagner to thank for the attacks on the
rest of the great unwashed and unbelieving masses  in the US.

The most obvious face of Christian supremacy is seen in the words  actions of the many millions of evangelical and activist fundamental christians who want to apply their own tightly interpreted vision of their faith and the bible on the rest of us.  The most convenient and potent method apparently is invading our government,
rewriting the laws.

As this blog develops I will post articles exposing and discussing the supremacists, and their closely
related friends, the christian dominionists.

Domionionists believe that  christians are called to take complete control over every aspect of human life in order to bring about the return of Christ.

Where does that leave  buddhists, muslims, hindus, jews, agnostics, atheists, or anyone else ?
All the rest of us are 2nd or 3rd class citizens?   Yes, Virginia  I'm afraid that's true.
